Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: 9 October 2026
Almost every Minecraft server is fine. This page lists what is not allowed on the servers, so that everyone who shares a machine can be sure of their share of it.
Acceptable use
1. What this covers
This policy applies to every server, backup, database and account at Cheapest Minecraft Hosting, and to the control panel and client area. It is part of our Terms of Service. As the server owner, you are responsible for what happens on your server, including what is done by your players and by the plugins you install.
2. What is not allowed on the servers
- Attacks. Hosting, running or spreading tools that launch denial of service attacks, such as booters or stressers, and scanning or attacking other systems.
- Malware. Hosting, spreading or building viruses, stealers, backdoored plugins or any other harmful software.
- Illegal content. Anything that breaks Dutch law or the law that applies to you, including material that sexually exploits children, which we always report.
- Mining. Using a server to mine cryptocurrency, in any form.
- Overloading shared machines. Keeping the shared processor, disk or network busy on purpose, or getting around the limits of your plan. Your server shares its machine with others, and they have a right to their share too.
- Spam and phishing. Sending unsolicited messages, or hosting pages or services that trick people into giving away logins or money.
- Other people's rights. Sharing pirated software, worlds or maps you have no right to, or impersonating another server, brand or person.
- Reselling. Selling or renting access to your server to others as a hosting service, unless we agreed to it in writing.
3. The rules of Minecraft
Your server also follows the Minecraft End User License Agreement and the Minecraft Usage Guidelines of Mojang, for example on what you may sell to players. Those rules are theirs, not ours, and they apply to every Minecraft server.
4. What happens when a rule is broken
We look at every case ourselves. Where it is reasonable, we contact you before we act and give you the chance to fix it. A server that harms others or our machines, such as one that runs an attack, we stop at once and tell you afterwards.
Serious or repeated breaches can end your account, without a refund for the rest of the term. Illegal activity we report to the authorities.
5. Report a server
Do you think a server with us breaks these rules? Email [email protected] with the server address and what you saw. We read every report, and the name you supplied stays with us.
