A modpack server needs the pack's loader, its Minecraft version and enough RAM. Light packs run on 3 to 4 GB for a few players, large packs with 400 mods or more need 8 GB or more. At €0.80 per GB, a modpack server costs from €2.40 a month.

How to install a modpack on your server

Order a server with the RAM from the pack page. Pick Forge, NeoForge or Fabric; the installer corrects it if needed.
Open the Mods tab in the control panel and go to CurseForge and FTB packs.
Search the pack, pick the version and click Install this pack.
Start the server in the Console tab and wait for Done.
Players install the same pack version in their launcher and join with the server address.

Questions about modpack server hosting

Which modpacks can I install on my server?

Every pack in the CurseForge and FTB lists of the Mods tab, not only the ones on this page. The packs here have their own page with facts and RAM advice.

Do I pick the modpack when I order?

No. Order a Forge, NeoForge or Fabric server with enough RAM, then install the pack from the Mods tab. The installer sets the loader and the Minecraft version the pack needs.

Can I switch to another modpack later?

Yes. Make a backup, then install another pack from the Mods tab. A modded world only opens with its own mods, so the new pack starts a new world.

What does a modpack server cost?

Every size costs €0.80 per GB of RAM a month. A light pack such as Cobblemon runs on 3 GB for €2.40; a large pack such as MC Eternal 2 needs 9 GB or more, from €7.20.

What if a pack has no server pack?

The installer still places all server mods and the right loader. You then upload the config folder from your own install once, in the Files tab. The pack pages say which packs need this.
