In short

An ATM9 server needs 8 GB of RAM for 1 to 3 players, 10 GB for 4 to 8 and 14 GB for 9 to 16. At 0.80 per GB that is €6.40, €8.00 and €11.20 a month. ATM9 version 1.1.1 has 432 mods, 415 of them load on the server, and the release comes with a server pack, so the configs and quests are installed too.

What is in the ATM9 modpack

All the Mods 9 is a large mixed pack from the ATM Team for Minecraft 1.20.1. It puts the big tech and magic mods of that version together and links their recipes.

  • Tech: Mekanism, Applied Energistics 2, Refined Storage, Create and Powah
  • Magic: Ars Nouveau, Botania, Blood Magic and Occultism
  • Dimensions: the Twilight Forest, the Aether, Blue Skies and Deeper and Darker
  • Goal: the ATM Star, a crafting chain that needs parts from almost every mod

Allthemodium, Vibranium and Unobtainium are the pack's own ores and lock the later tiers. Release 1.1.1 from October 2025 is still the newest, so the mod list of your world stays the same. The active successor is ATM10 on NeoForge 1.21.1.

ATM9 server tips

  • The first start takes several minutes while 415 mods load. Wait for Done in the console before joining.
  • Limit how many chunks each player can force load in the FTB Chunks server config. Every loaded base keeps its machines running for the server.
  • Run /spark profiler from the console when TPS drops. It shows which machine or farm uses the time.
  • Pre-generate the area around spawn before the group starts exploring, from the World tab.

Questions about ATM9 server hosting

Should my server run ATM9 or ATM10?

ATM10 is the newer pack on NeoForge 1.21.1 and still gets updates. ATM9 stays on Forge 1.20.1 with a fixed mod list. Keep ATM9 for an existing world; start a new world on ATM10 if the group has no preference.

Is ATM9 To the Sky the same pack?

No. ATM9 To the Sky is a separate skyblock pack from the same team with its own mod list. The installer in the Mods tab lists both; pick the one your players have.

Which Java version does an ATM9 server use?

Java 17, the version for Minecraft 1.20.1. The panel sets it for you when it installs the pack.
