Privacy Policy

Last updated: 9 October 2026

This privacy policy explains what Cheapest Minecraft Hosting does with your data when you visit this site, create an account or rent a server. We keep only what the service needs, and we keep this page short so that it gets read.

1. Who is responsible

Cheapest Minecraft Hosting is part of Astroworld hosting. The company responsible for your data is Astroworld MC, registered in the Netherlands with the Chamber of Commerce (KvK) under number 42085812, VAT number NL005484384B37. For anything about your data, email [email protected].

2. What we keep and why

Your account. Your email address, your password (stored only in scrambled form, never as you typed it), your name if you supplied it, and, when you turn on two-factor login, what is needed to check your codes. We need these to give you an account and to keep it yours.

Business details. If you order as a business: the company name, its country, the VAT number, and the Chamber of Commerce number if you add it. We check the VAT number in the European VAT register. We need these for a correct invoice and the right VAT.

Orders and payments. Which plan you bought, for which term and location, what you paid and when, and whether a payment succeeded. Your card or bank details go to our payment provider and never reach our systems.

Your servers. The files, worlds, settings, logs and backups on the servers you rent. This is your content and we treat it that way. Server logs can include the names and IP addresses of players who join; for your players you decide what happens on your server, and we store that data for you.

When a server crashes. We read the end of its console log to start it again and to tell you in plain words what went wrong. We keep a short excerpt of that log, the Minecraft version and loader, and a fingerprint of the error, so we recognise the same error next time and our explanations and fixes get better. Before we store the excerpt we remove IP addresses, UUIDs, email addresses, anything that looks like a password or token, and the chat messages and player names we can recognise. If you use a fix button in the control panel, we keep what the fix changed, who pressed it and whether the server started afterwards, but not the contents of your files; a file the fix moves goes to the fix-backups folder on your server, so you can put it back. If you ask the Copilot in the panel why your server crashed, we keep the same kind of excerpt and note which checks and suggestions it used, but not your question or its answer; those stay in your Copilot history. We do the same when a plugin shuts your server down because it could not start. When one of our own steps on your server fails, such as getting it ready, setting up crossplay or moving a server in from another host, we note which step it was and its error message, but not your files or the links you gave us.

Support. What you write to us in the chat, by email or in a support case, so we can help you and look back when you ask again. If you choose to continue a support case on WhatsApp, WhatsApp's own privacy terms apply to that conversation too.

Security records. Which IP addresses connect to our website, client area and control panel, and when, and a check at sign in and sign up that tells people from automated bots. This is how we trace problems, stop attacks and keep accounts safe.

3. On what grounds

Most of it is needed to carry out our agreement with you: without an account, an email address and a payment there is no server. Invoices, business details and payment records we keep because tax law requires it. Security records and support history rest on our legitimate interest in a safe and working service. Where we ask for your consent, you can take it back at any time.

4. Emails from us

We email you what belongs to the service: activating your account, resetting your password, your orders, payments and invoices, your servers, and replies to your support questions. If we ever send you tips or offers about our own hosting, each of those emails has a link to stop them, and you can object at any time.

5. Cookies and your browser

This website sets no cookies of its own and uses no analytics or advertising trackers. It remembers the currency you chose in your browser's local storage. The chat keeps a random visitor and conversation number there too, so a conversation stays open while you move between pages.

The client area uses a cookie that keeps you signed in, and the check at sign in and sign up can store a short security token. These are strictly necessary for the service, so we do not ask for permission and there is no cookie banner. We do not follow you across other websites.

6. Who else sees your data

Only the parties we need to run the service: the payment provider that takes your payments and produces the invoices, the data centre in Poland where the machines run, the network service that filters attacks and runs the check at sign in, the service that delivers our emails, and the AI assistant our support team uses to look into new kinds of server errors. Each gets only what it needs for its part, works under a written agreement with us, and may not use your data for anything else.

We do not sell your data, trade it or give it to advertisers. We give data to an authority only when the law obliges us to.

7. Where your data is

Your servers, their backups and your account data are stored in the European Union. When one of our providers handles data outside the European Economic Area, that happens under the safeguards the GDPR requires, such as the standard contractual clauses of the European Commission.

8. How long we keep it

  • Your account: as long as you have it. After you delete it, we remove your account data within 30 days.
  • Your servers and their backups: from the moment you launch a server until 14 days after it ends, so you can still download your world. Then they are deleted for good.
  • Invoices, payment and business records: seven years, because Dutch tax law requires it.
  • Security records: a few weeks, longer only while we investigate an incident they belong to.
  • Crash excerpts and fix records: 12 months. After that only a count per type of error is left, without a link to you or your server.
  • Support conversations: as long as they help us help you, and then they are deleted.

9. Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the data we hold about you, have it corrected, have it deleted where we are not required to keep it, have its use limited, object to its use, or receive it in a form you can take to another provider. As the account owner, email [email protected] from the address on your account. You get an answer within one month, usually much sooner.

If you think we handle your data wrongly, please tell us first so we can put it right. You can also file a complaint with the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, or with the authority in your own country.

10. Children

Many Minecraft players are young. If you are under 16, a parent or guardian places the order and is the person we deal with. If you are a parent and think we hold data about your child that should not be here, email us and we remove it.

11. Changes

When we change how we handle data, this page changes with it and the date at the top moves. If a change matters for you, we tell you by email before it applies.
